Awwww! I’m happy it resonated. It really is such a double-edged sword, in so many ways— it’s almost habitual to fall into conceding to another persons wants and needs. And, frankly, that usually doesn’t cause too many issues for many of us, so we don’t particularly see it as an issue to address. I feel you though- there are few greater discomforts than waiting for a reaction. I still try to pull this with my poor husband… “babe … . . Are you . . . Okay? Like, any less okay than when I asked you the last 16 times in 4 minutes?” 😹
